We process submissions between 9AM – 11AM Monday through Friday so submit your event in advance! No same day submissions and it is best to submit a minimum of one week in advance for best results.
Friday, Sept. 17th 4pm-10pm. Saturday, Sept. 18th 9am-10pm. Sunday, Sept. 19th 10am-4pm. Children 16 and under are free.
Family Fun Tyme Amusements will be open beginning Friday from 4pm until close and open back up at 11am Saturday and Sunday till close.
Friday: 4pm-10pm: At 4pm the Robery J. Parks Library and Bradley the Bookworm will share Tall Tales and Lumberjack tales. At 5pm there will be a tribute to the late Ed Glotfelty, better known as Oscoda’s Paul Bunyan. Additionally the three hour quick carve Chainsaw competition will start and go until 8pm.
Saturday: 9am-10pm: Beginning at 9am gates will be open to browse craft vendor items until 5pm. The Chainsaw competition will commence at 9:30am with the carving of their competition piece and they will carve until 5pm. At 10am visitors can head over to the ACC Oscoda Campus booth for a Lumber Jack and Jill look alike competition. Also at 10am the Parks Library will be back to do more fun activities until 2pm. Cornhole registration will begin at 11am and the tournament will commence at noon until 5pm. The Saturday round is the preliminary round and Sunday will be the finals. At noon, there will be live music being played by Ronn Fryer and he will play until 4pm. At 2pm a Saw dust dig treasure hunt will be held for ages 2 to 12 years old. Registration for the beard competition will begin at 3pm and awards will be given at 4pm. At 5:15 pm there will be a chainsaw auction and judging, awards will be given at 6pm.
Sunday: 10am-4pm: At 11am the carnival will open and the corn hole finals will commence. From 12:30pm-1:30pm there will be an opportunity to dress your pet up like Paul Bunyan and show them off. All prizes will be given at 3pm. Starting at 2pm Ronn Fryer will play live music. At 2pm registration will begin for the pie eating competition will be open.
