Ranked #1 Best New Resort Course in the US by Golf Digest. Located at Lakewood Shores, this top ranked Michigan golf resort offers three unique golf experiences.
From the Scottish designed Gailes to their newest course “Blackshire” recently nominated Best New Resort Course in the US for 2002 by Golf Digest to the classic parkland design of the “Seradella” showcasing over 50,000 annuals and perennials.
The Serradella is a classic parkland design with minimal hazards, wide fairways and large greens. With half the holes cut through the heart of nature, you may see deer, wild turkey or even a fox.
The Blackhire was designed to recreate the look and feel of the famous Pine Valley C.C. in New Jersey. Although not a replica of Pine Valley, it does offer golfers a similar rugged and natural feel. Cut through the hardwoods & pines, you encounter large sand waste areas along the fairways, trees and greens giving the Blackshire a much different look than your typical Northern Michigan course.
Loggers Trace is an 18 hole layout that is nestled in and out of the wooded terrain, offering large elevation changes, and great views of Lake Huron from the 100 foot high overlook. Springport is the original 9 with challenging greens and rolling hills, making it great for walking and families. Both courses are USGA certified with Loggers have a part 72 layout, while Springport a par 36 layout.
The Greenbush Golf Course has always been known as a course for the recreational player. The holes are playable but challenging in their own unique way. Players especially enjoy the 88-yard par 3 with the island green. A unique feature of the Greenbush Golf Course is its clubhouse – an area landmark prominently located near the train tracks just off US-23.
Red Hawk Golf Club is proud to be part of The Arthur Hills Michigan Golf Trail. Voted Northeast Michigan’s #1 Golf Course, this course is carved out of 205 acres of forest with huge pine, oak, maple, beech and birch trees lining the fairways and providing dramatic backdrops.
At White Pine National Golf Resort you’ll find that the course, designed by Bruce and Clem Wolfrom, has taken the ecologically sound approach to golf course design. You’ll find a genuine golf course laid out on the most select sites available on more than 400 acres of land. You won’t find any water holds. The challenge is provided by the length of the holes, bunker placement and green size.
Wicker Hills Golf Course is located north of Hale off M-65. Golfers will find the 18 hole course to have rolling hills, plenty of water and a beautiful setting snuggled in the Huron National Forest. Tree lined fairways mixed with open Scottish links style of play makes Wicker Hills Golf Course ideal for all levels of play.
